NAECOB will no longer issue equivalencies for the Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) examinations.
The National Accreditation and Equivalency Council of The Bahamas (NAECOB) reaffirms its central role in protecting the integrity of the Bahamian Education System. As the national regulatory body responsible for school registration, credential verification and institutional accreditation, NAECOB continues to strengthen systems that support quality and accountability across the education sector in The Bahamas.
Effective immediately, NAECOB will no longer issue equivalencies for the Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) examinations. This decision does not affect equivalency services related to the Bahamas Junior Certificate (BJC) or other academic and professional qualifications.
NAECOB encourages all interested individuals seeking BGCSE certification to register for and sit the official national examination. For information regarding examination schedules, application periods, and registration deadlines, please contact the Examination and Assessment Division of the Ministry of Education, Technical and Vocational Training.
Interested persons are also invited to visit the NAECOB website to identify educational and training institutions that offer tutoring and preparation for the BGCSE examinations.
