The Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) continues to uphold international standards through its accreditation with Cambridge, UK. Each year, the Examination and Assessment Division of the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology meets with Cambridge representatives to review assessment practices. These meetings alternate between the Bahamas and the UK, and this year’s session was hosted locally.
The discussions focused on credential equivalencies and explored the development of a national framework for qualifications offered in the country. This initiative aims to ensure that Bahamian credentials remain globally recognized and aligned with best practices.
NAECOB looks forward to ongoing dialogue with Cambridge, drawing on their extensive accreditation experience across continents to strengthen the quality and recognition of education in the Bahamas.
